Product Development Manager – Candle

About the role

This is a practical, development-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with materials, formulations, and fragrances.

1. Develop and test candle formulations, including wax blends and fragrances.
2. Create and refine fragrances in collaboration with perfumery concepts.
3. Develop a quality management system (QMS) and process control standard operating procedures (SOPs) to comply with US and European standards.
4. Work independently on product development projects from concept to completion while maintaining timelines.

Qualifications

1. Graduate-level education in chemistry, food science, cosmetics, or a related field with at least 3 years of experience in product development.
2. Strong interest in perfumery and home fragrance innovation.
3. Proficiency in MS Office, internet, and email.

Additional requirements

1. Ability to commute to Kotikawatta or arrange accommodation nearby.
2. Hands-on approach and willingness to work independently.
