Technical Manager

STAR (A Komar company) is a world-class apparel sourcing, design, and manufacturing company. We provide expert, seamless execution in product development, technical innovation, and personalized customer service. We are currently looking for a Technical Manager to join our team in Kaduwela.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and manage all sewing technicians’ problem-solving.
• Maintain all sample room records and reports pertaining to quality and productivity to address inefficiencies.
• Enforce the team’s adherence to daily and weekly plans to facilitate a smooth sewing production process.
• Work with the factory quality team to achieve quality standards and targets.
• Attend main fit events and communicate highlights to the team and management.
• Review and make decisions regarding capacity utilization, material, and machinery.
• Responsible for upskilling and maintaining a skilled workforce to meet industry standards.
• Work with all operations teams to achieve set Factory Goals and KPIs.

What You Need to Have

• Degree, Diploma, or professional qualification in Textile & Clothing or a relevant field.
• Minimum 05 years of working experience is an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in sewing technology within the apparel industry.
• Expertise in all technical aspects of Woven, Dress, and Pant products.
• Experience in Woven products, Dresses, Pants, and blouses is preferred.
• High-caliber leader with integrity and a passion for teamwork.
• Proven experience in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing/QCO practices.
• Strong personality with excellent leadership skills.
• Overall knowledge of Apparel Manufacturing Practices is a must.
• Preferred residents around Nawagamuwa, Kaduwela, Hanwella, Athurugiriya, Gampaha, or Biyagama.
