Job Description

• You’ll be responsible for growing and developing an incredible team of talented and motivated engineers with high expectations around individual ownership and impact
• You’ll have the opportunity to operate cross-functionally, both as a leader, while also being hands-on
• You’ll be in a position to help design and plan the Engineering Teams roadmap, shaping your own role and responsibilities
• You’ll foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies the company’s values
• You’ll ensure your team delivers an extraordinary output and continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact
• You’ll set the direction for the team, and anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning
• You will help craft technical and product strategy
• You will hire new team members as needed to support product needs

Requirements 

• 3+ years of experience as manager of a team that builds scalable web applications, in a product-driven, agile environment
• 5+ years of experience working with a full application stack, in particular web applications, and strong fundamentals in at least one major programming language
• Strong technical leadership experience
• Self-learner, independent, and have outstanding problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What we’d like to see

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science
• Experience with a Messaging Platform is preferred
• Experience with AWS/Kubernetes is preferred
• Full-stack experience
• Service-Oriented Software Architectures / Microservices
• Web service development, REST or SOAP APIs
• General curiosity and flexibility in working across technologies; our tech stack includes technologies as diverse as React/Typescript, Golang, NodeJS, MySQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka
