Laundry Technician

One of our clients who is a multinational tea production company based in Colombo is looking for skilled a “Laundry Technician” to join immediately.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitors daily usage and inspects the industrial washers and dryers, in addition to all other equipment in the laundry facility.
• Adjusts valves, switches, and levers to start, operate, and stop the machinery, in addition to controlling the temperature of the water.
• Ensures that laundry equipment is checked on a regular basis and that any problems noted are reported to the property authority.
• Performs maintenance and repair of laundry equipment user manuals and their past history.

Qualification & Experience

• Relevant vocational training qualifications will be an advantage.
• 1 – 2 years of experience working in a similar technical & maintenance role.
• Must have a good working knowledge of machinery.
• Must have electrical, plumbing, and basic maintenance skills.
• Must be able to install, program, operate, maintain and fix industrial laundry systems.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs., occasionally be able to kneel, push, pull and lift, and be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and ramps.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with a pleasing personality.
