Intervest is a software development venture specializing in the development of InsureTech platforms with our principals in the UK.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can monitor our systems hosted in AWS and ensure their 24/7 availability. These systems include customer-facing web applications, back office systems, and APIs.

Role

• Monitoring system performance, report performance lags, alerts and notifications
• Monitoring the types of errors triggered by API responses and determining high-risk areas and the root cause from dashboards and logs
• Monitoring CPU, memory, instant count, health, and logic in production environments
• Identifying patterns in data by analyzing graphs and reporting to the business
• Be able to work during UK business hours and ensure 24×7 availability on a shift basis
• Create documentation, presentations, and training materials
• Provide close support to the development team in troubleshooting during incidents
• Setup custom views/dashboards to extract relevant performance metrics

Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of web applications and hosting infrastructure
• Some familiarity with cloud-based hosting preferably AWS
• Fundamental knowledge in data analytics
• Basic programming knowledge
• Fundamental knowledge of Agile Scrum
• Familiarity with the following technologies would be an advantage:
  Kibana, Elasticsearch, Matomo, Google Analytics, API Gateway, AWS Cloud Watch, EC2, Jenkins, A1-Br ECS Autoscaling Groups, Redist Cognito, DocumentDB, Oracle RDS, and Cloudflare

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methodologies
• Experience with capacity building in the areas of monitoring, evaluation, learning, and adaptive management
• Excellent communication skills in English

Salary: Negotiable, based on skills and experience.
