Senior/Software Engineer – Quality Assurance

Job description

You will be part of the Quality Assurance Engineering team in the R&D group within Business Applications and be involved in all aspects of the end-to-end QA function.

Job requirements

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts
• Test data scripts with manual testing
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
• Initiate, plan and drive activities related to usability testing and performance testing
• Identify, prioritize and propose security corrections using OWASP SAMM
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Carry out bug analysis with the purpose of increasing test coverage in critical areas
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Software Designers, Software Engineers, Software Architects and Program Managers) to identify system requirements
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or relevant qualification
• Experience in web application test automation and documentation
• Experience in estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities
• Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies
• Technical design and programming skills
• Self-motivation and learning capability, ability to work independently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Finance systems is a plus
