DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes
Arithmos (Pvt) Ltd is a BigData/Hadoop service provider in Colombo. Our client is one of the largest insurance companies on Wall Street with an extended offshore BigData / DevOps team based in Colombo.
This is a unique opportunity to directly work with the in-house team with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and a large US corporate culture. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and talented with the ability to quickly learn new and unfamiliar technologies to become part of the global team.
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information technology, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Similar qualification
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in working as a DevOps Engineer or similar capacity in an environment with Kubernetes systems.
Technical Skills Required:
- Experience in Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with supporting Unix/Linux systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Troubleshooting and Analytical skills
Optional skills:
• Programming skills in one or more of the following: Shell, Python, Perl, Ruby
• Familiarity with Bigdata and Hadoop technologies
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket and understanding of branching and tagging of releases
