INTERNSHIP – HUMAN RESOURCE (HRIS/Pay Roll)
We are looking for a confident, energetic, self-driven, young undergraduate in Human Resource Management field. This intern is responsible for the functional support and maintenance of all HR Systems and ensures that the human resources organizational system needs are met and also responsible for supporting all HR functions by providing HR system support, analysis, reporting, and business process design improvement. This includes business requirements gathering and analysis, design, testing,
documentation, updates, and enhancements of the HRIS.

The Role

The incumbent needs to work on assigned HR projects related to systems, data, process development, and related issues across the full spectrum of HR support areas (e.g., benefits, compensation, payroll).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process employee data like leaves and benefits
  • Technical and Functional Support for HRIS system applications
  • Manage and maintain the distribution of all HR reports, payroll distribution
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes to best leverage the HRIS
  • Work closely with the HR staff and IT technical support team on the development, testing, and implementation of the necessary system modifications
  • Work with HR functional team to develop, maintain, and enhance end-user documentation Support good customer service by communicating and/or collaborating with HR department internal and external customers about impending changes, usability issues, and system upgrades or problems
  • Implement/ensure data quality/cleansing efforts
  • Participates in special projects as assigned by HR management team

The right candidate should possess the following qualifications & Experience:

  • BSc. in Human Resources Management
  • IT or computer science degree
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ERP, and resume databases
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation

  • Effective communication skills (English and Sinhala) and good computer literacy (specially in excel)
