POS Support Executive

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the deployment of POS systems (Hardware and Software) at new outlets, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Conduct training for Sales Coordinators; coordinate with marketing for outlet staff training.
  • Work with the Assistant Manager, Business Solutions, to procure and install new POS units and parts for timely deployment.
  • Maintain an inventory of all POS components, including purchase dates and pricing.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and servicing of POS units, coordinating service times to minimize downtime.
  • Track and manage POS system incidents, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all POS units are connected to bank card terminals and provide relevant training to outlet staff.
  • Plan and implement new features requested by marketing, obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Analyze and report on inventory, incidents, and system updates at monthly IT meetings.
  • Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation and training materials for staff.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A recognized diploma level qualification in ICT
  • At least one year of experience in providing first-level user support for ICT hardware and software solutions, or in delivering training.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English and Sinhalese.
  • Possession of a motorcycle riding license is preferable.
