Collection Executives (Multiple Vacancies)

The Job
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts

• Investigate historical data for each debt or bill

• Contact and communicate effectively with debtors by phone to negotiate and implement debt recovery plans

• Take actions to encourage timely debt payments

• Negotiate settlements to receive payments on certain percentages of debt.

• Process payments and refunds

• Resolve billing and customer credit issues

• Update account status records and collection efforts

• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status

• Maintain electronic records and hard copies of all payment plans, amounts paid and communications

The Person
• Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or in a similar role. (school-Leavers are encouraged to apply too)

• Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques

• Familiarity with laws related to debt collection

• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases

• Fluent in English and Sinhala. Ability to speak in Tamil will also be desirable

• Being comfortable to work on targets

• Patience and the ability to manage stress

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Problem-solving skills
