Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

Axinom is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, who is passionate about software development and wants to do things the right way and always produce great quality code. You will join an excellent team of software developers and architects working hand in hand on business-critical applications, domains, and use cases. As a member of the Axinom Service Delivery team, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining mission-critical applications for Axinom and its users.

Your daily tasks and responsibilities

• Developing applications using Node.js
• Working with containerized environments
• Working with relational and document base databases
• Use of modern development practices such as Refactoring, Unit Testing, and Continuous Delivery
• Developing high-quality, fast, and reusable code
• Taking ownership of features from design to implementation and testing to deployment
• Striving for quality by writing software tests
• Designing APIs, implementation of new services and applications

Skill requirements

• Good knowledge of NodeJS (Typescript/JavaScript), REST APIs, HTML, CSS
• At least 4+ years experience in software development with 1+ years in NodeJS
• Experience with evaluating code quality, performance & security
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
• Good English language, both written and spoken
• Like to read, design, explain and share technical plans & decisions
• Enthusiastic, and like to confront your views with your team & other developers while keeping a fair and open mind
• Analytical thinking, wish to learn and develop, good communication skills
• Good understanding of design patterns and concepts of modular applications
• Ability to understand and develop design and usability concepts
